Morrisons reveals Black Friday 2017 deals early with beer and gin advent calendars
British grocer Morrisons has launched its Black Friday 2017 deals one week early in a bid to one-up its rivals as Christmas approaches.
This week, the supermarket has launched two exclusive Black Friday advent calendars; a Gin-vent Calendar for just £60 and a Beer
Calendar for £30.

The Gin-vent calendar will showcase 24 50ml bottles of spirits from distilleries including Edinburgh Gin, Ophir and Sipsmith.
The Beer calendar, meanwhile, contains a selection of ales produced by some of the UK’s biggest brewery and pub groups the likes of Young’s, Bombadier and Greene King, ranging from 275ml to 330ml.
The gin-based calendar is available both online and in-store, but the beer version can only be bought in one of nearly 500 Morrisons stores around the UK.
The beer calendar includes bottles from Young’s Greene King-owned breweries.
Around the same time last year, the Big Four grocer ramped up its cut-price drinks deals by selling a double-magnum of Jack Daniels whiskey for the bargain rate of £50.
This year, Prosecco is Morrisons’ drug of choice, with the retailer stocking a magnum of Canti Prosecco for just £10.
Morrison’s value drinks deals follow on from the growing trend of drinks makers and upscale retailers creating alcoholic advent calendars for a unique way to celebrate the festive season.
But the grocer isn’t the first to cash in on the trend. Earlier this year, German challenger supermarket Aldi announced it will also sell a wine advent calendar in the run-up to 25 December.
