Covering this year, the sponsorship includes a branding agreement whereby Petrucci himself will exclusively use a unique Tŷ Nant water bottle during practices, qualifying and race days.
“This opportunity not only offers a good pairing for the Welsh brand to align themselves in the exciting world of MotoGP, but also gaining brand visibility on a global scale, whilst supporting a ‘rider to watch’,” the brand said.
Petrucci secured 3rd place at the Italian Grand Prix in Mugello as part of the Octo Pramac Racing team.
He will ride a non-works Ducati for 2017 with the same evolution as the Ducati factory team and has already secured an “outstanding” advantage.
“I chose a natural mineral water because during and after the race we all drink water,” said Petrucci. “Tŷ Nant is a special water with a very special charm. Tŷ Nant is my ‘healthy victory’.”
Tŷ Nant is a natural mineral water from Wales, renowned for its cobalt blue and crimson red bottles. It is the official water of the drinks business, and served at the publication’s events and tastings, including the Global Masters wine competitions, which cover grape varieties such as Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, as well as wine styles from sparkling to rosé.
