Simon Rogan to leave Fera at Claridge’s
One of the UK’s most revered chefs, Simon Rogan, is to leave the Michelin-starred Fera at Claridge’s after a three-year partnership with the London hotel.

As reported by The Caterer, Rogan will work his last shift at the restaurant on 30 April when his protégé, Matt Starling, will take over the venue with a new vision.
Rogan took over from Gordon Ramsay in May 2014 on a 10-year management agreement with a five-year break clause, marking one of the most exciting high profile restaurant openings of the year.

Meaning ‘wild’ in Latin, the restaurant takes inspiration from nature and the cycle of the seasons, with a large chunk of the ingredients hailing from Rogan’s farm in Cumbria. A year after opening Fera deservedly won a Michelin star.
The seven-course tasting menu with four amuse bouches costs £110 and includes the likes of stewed rabbit with lovage; a seaweed cracker with sea herbs; Dexter beef in coal oil with kohlrabi; and halibut cooked in pine with peas and whey.
The chef hopes to find a permanent home for his pop-up concept Roganic, which ran from 2011-2013 in Marylebone.
“It’s been a pleasure working with Claridge’s for a successful and enjoyable three years and as the time has come to move on, we do so with excitement for the future and grateful for our time at Fera,” Rogan told The Caterer.
Claridge’s general manager Paul Jackson said: “We have had three very successful and creative years working with Simon and his talented team at Fera.
“We would like to thank them for all their hard work and inspiration in keeping Claridge’s at the forefront of the London culinary world. We wish Simon all the best for his exciting future plans.”
In addition to Fera, Rogan also runs the wildly successful, two Michelin-starred L’Eclume in Cumbria, which champions a hyper-local approach to cooking.
