Bordeaux 2016: Sauternes keep rolling out
Two more Sauternes estates have added to the tally of releases this morning, second growths Doisy Daëne and Doisy-Védrines, yet again with no price increase.
Doisy Daëne stuck to the price it has released at for the last four years, €26.40 per bottle ex-négociant, while Doisy-Védrines released at the slightly cheaper €23.50 p/b.
‘L’Extravagant’ de Doisy Daëne was also released at €276 a bottle, the same as the 2015.
The campaign has so far been dominated by sweet wines as it always is at the start but there was surprise yesterday when Saint Estèphe second growth Cos d’Estournel released its price as well.
No wines out so far have raised their prices on the 2015s.
