Bring a McGuigan ad rolled out in the UK

Having trialled the advert in cinemas and on the radio, Australian wine brand McGuigan is rolling out its latest tongue-in-cheek ad across the UK.

The “Bring a McGuigan” advert will be aired on TV for six weeks from 12 September on Channel 4 and Sky. It’s based on bringing the right wine to a house party to impress your friends with, and suggests that if you want to bring a great wine, you should “Bring a McGuigan”.

“The McGuigan brand has fantastic momentum, enjoying unprecedented global growth over the past five years, not to mention continued success in prestigious international wine competitions,” said UK general manager Julian Dyer.

“This is the next step in our strategic plan – driving awareness on a global scale, and engaging with the end consumer in a meaningful way. We received a fantastic response from Australian audiences and hope UK audiences will embrace this next phase of the brand’s evolution,” he added.

The advert will be supported by marketing activities including sampling events and a competition to win a luxury holiday to the value of £2,000.

McGuigan will also be the wine sponsor at the Meatopia festival on Blackheath where MasterChef presenter John Torode will be stoking the flames and pouring attendees glasses of MT Pinot Noir Rosé, made in collaboration with McGuigan.

In the UK, McGuigan Wines is the fourth largest wine brand by value and volume, and the second largest Australian brand.
