Deutz reveals record sales
Champagne Deutz has seen its sales figures hit record heights in 2015, the house has announced.
In 2015, the core Deutz brand recorded sales of 2.1 million bottles, up from 576,000 20 years ago.
CEO, Fabrice Rosset, noted: “Deutz still has real potential for growth in international markets as exports account for only 40% of total sales.”
Deutz cited, “recent investment in the production facilities, the loyalty of the grands crus/premiers crus grape suppliers, recognition of the brand as being among the top four to six, the bolstering of human resources in management and the resources to further develop marketing activity,” as the root causes of the brand’s success.
Rosset added he was sure Deutz would, “attain new heights in the coming years”.
Delas Freres’ 2015 figures were equally positive, with sales revenues crossing the “symbolic” €10 million mark. Again, “intensive” work on quality and “image building” of brands across its portfolio were cited as the reason for this achievement.
Total sales revenue for the Delas/Deutz Group in 2015 was €54m, a 10% increase on the year before.
The group said: “The financial resources are very healthy and allow Delas/Deutz to undertake with confidence the important investment projects initiated by the CEO.”
Since 1997 the group has invested €36m and it is projected that another €7-9m will be invested between now and 2017.
