The Pawn launches charity cocktails
Hong Kong hangout The Pawn has announced a range of cocktails to raise money for local charities.
Each of the “Don’t go Home” cocktails have been designed by “leading creative personalities” in Hong Kong and a percentage of the sales will go to charity.
The first cocktail in the series is called the “Triple Zero” and has been put together by designer, blogger and style culture writer JJ Acuna.
A blend of whisky and calamansi (a citrus/kumquat hybrid), funds from its sale will go towards AIDS Concern and the name of the drink reflects the charity’s three key objectives to achieve zero new HIV infections, zero stigma for people living with HIV and zero AIDS deaths.
The cocktail, priced at HK$110, will be available from 2 August to 1 October and 20% of sales will be donated to the charity.
“The Pawn has always been a big supporter of the community as well as a hub for artistic, creative talents,” explains Alan Lo, co-founder of Press Room Group. “This initiative raises awareness of local issues and turns the focus on groups in need of our support.”
