AB InBev boss forced out for drink-driving
The head of the German arm of global beer giant AB InBev has been forced to resign after crashing his car while being “considerably under the influence of alcohol.”

Till Hedrich, the head of Germany, Switzerland and Austria for AB InBev, admitted to the company that he had caused an accident that injured three other people outside Munich because he had been drinking.
He has been stood down from the role that he occupied for only five months, following his move from the directorship of Europe and Middle East for the brewer.
In a statement given to German newspaper Handelsblatt, AB InBev said, “By his own description, Till Hedrich participated in a car accident at the A95 from Munich towards Garmisch-Partenkirchen on 30 April, 2015.
“Till Hedrich explained to the company… that he led his car under the heavy influence of alcohol.”
The company said that it had no other option but to fire Hedrich due to its “zero tolerance” policy on drink-driving.
