db supports fundraising effort in Nepal

Following this week’s devastating earthquake in Nepal, the drinks business is supporting a fundraising effort launched by a Nepalese member of staff whose family has been left homeless.

The 7.9 magnitude earthquake rocked Kathmandu on Saturday, 25 April, flattening historic buildings, houses and killing more than 1,800 people. The death toll is still rising and many more are still missing, injured and trapped.

The cause is particularly close to our hearts as a member of our staff is Nepalese. While her family is safe and well, their homes have been destroyed and they are currently living in tents.

Funds raised will go toward providing dry fruits, biscuits, water purifying tablets, solar light, blankets and tents to the thousands that have been left without a home. Every donation regardless how small will make a huge difference.
