With domestic beer sold at just $3 and imported beer marked at $4, there will be little for fans to complain about in terms of refreshment during their four-day trek around the course.

And the food – including the famous pimento cheese sandwich priced at just $1.50 – will keep spirits high and pockets flush for the pinnacle tournament in the golfing calendar.

ESPN’s sports business reporter Zach Conrad called the Masters concession stand “the cheapest in sport” – and he may well be right.

In September db reported the average beer prices at various football, rugby and cricket grounds in the UK. Across the sports, football fans pay the least for their beer (£3.82), compared to rugby fans who pay £3.92 and cricket fans who pay the most at £3.94.
