Veuve Clicquot brings Christmas cheer
Veuve Clicquot is helping out those in need of some last minute Christmas gift inspiration with the launch of its “Click for Clicquot” service.
Available via free download from the Apple App Store, the service allows users to buy a glass or bottle of Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label at a selection of 12 London venues. Their intended recipient then receives a text, email or video link to let them know where the Champagne gift is waiting to be redeemed.
Among the London bars and restaurants participating in this service are Mr Fogg’s, Barts, Quaglino’s Cartizze Bar at Mews of Mayfair, the Chelsea and South Kensington branches of Eclipse, The Corner Restaurant & Champagne Bar at Selfridges, Hix Selfridges and M Restaurants.

Although still a novelty idea in the UK, this concept of using an app to treat friends to a drink or other services has been taking off in the US through the “It’s On Me” app. Currently processing 100,000 gifts each month, the app’s founders are now looking to expand their product worldwide.
