Benallal celebrates white truffle season
Michelin-starred French chef, Akrame Benallal, is introducing new autumn and winter menus at his Hong Kong restaurant, with a particular emphasis on white truffle.
October and November are traditionally the months when white truffles are harvested in Piedmont and Benallal has designed two dishes in honour of the rare delicacy.
Vermicelli soup with white truffle is the first dish while the second is for fans of Benallal’s more usual “seafood-centric” menus, carpaccio of scallops with white truffle.
“The Italian white truffle is an exquisite ingredient that shines in its simplicity. As a chef, my role is to bring out the best flavour of this delicacy and share it in a way that will be etched in the memory of my guests,” said Benallal.
Priced at HK$488 for dinner and $368 for lunch, the dishes will be available the as part of the seasonal dinner set as part of the choice of four, six or eight dishes.
