Kleine Zalze bolsters indie offer
Stellenbosch producer Kleine Zalze has introduced a new range called Cleefs, which is targeted at the UK independent sector.
Named after the estate’s founder, Cleefs’ offers a five-strong Classic Collection with an RRP of £8.25-£8.79, as well as four wines in a Reserve Collection, which carries an RRP of £10.49-£10.99.
The range reaches across five of what Kleine Zalze describes as South Africa’s “best performing” grape varieties: Chenin Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinotage, Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon. Each of the white wines comes from the 2014 vintages, while the reds come from 2013 and 2012.
Introducing this latest portfolio addition, Kleine Zalze’s owner Kobus Basson said: “Our new Cleefs range is a tribute to Nicholas Cleef, his vision and his belief in this land as having great potential to produce exceptional wines. The Cleefs range is very much linked to our history and it will play an important part in our future as it helps us and our UK agent Hatch Mansfield to extend our offer to independent sectors of the trade.”
