Rapper Rick Ross’ fave fizz launches brut
Luc Belaire, the favourite French fizz brand of American rapper Rick Ross, has branched out from sparkling rosé with the release of a brut non-vintage offering.

Luc Belaire Brut is made from 100% Chardonnay grapes grown in Burgundy. Owner Sovereign Brands describes the sparkler as “refreshing, crisp and crystalline with aromas of white flowers, peach, lemon and grapefruit.”

Priced at £29.99 a bottle, the brand’s signature black bottle has been tweaked, with the original pink script on the silkscreen label changed to gold.
Luc Belaire Rosé is one of the most searched for wines on Wine-Searcher.com due to being championed by rapper Rick Ross who created a fan club for the fizz called “Black Bottle Boys.”
The brand is the brainchild of Brett Berish, CEO of Sovereign Brands, best known for creating rapper Jay-Z’s favourite Champagne, Armand de Brignac, in 2006 shortly after the hip-hop mogul fell out with Cristal maker Louis Roederer.
A longtime lover of rosé wine, earning him the nickname “Rick Rosé”, Ross became an advocate of Luc Belaire soon after it launched last year, featuring the fizz in a number of his music videos and on his social media feeds.
Ross’ love of the brand fast made it a fixture in the hip-hop community.
Berish denies any financial link between Ross and Luc Belaire in the same way it has never been confirmed whether Jay-Z has any financial involvement with Champagne brand Armand de Brignac, affectionately known as Ace of Spades.
Armand de Brignac is made by Champagne Cattier in Chigny-les-Roses.
