The Savoy releases £18k Macallan whisky
Luxury London hotel The Savoy has released three bottles of “extremely rare” 48-year-old Macallan whisky to mark its 125th year.
Just 15 decanters of the single malt Scotch exist in the world, with The Savoy acquiring three having liaised with a “renowned” Scotch whisky collector.
Each has been bottled in an exclusively designed, hand-made decanter, and went on sale yesterday (6 August), marking the hotel’s 125th year since it opened in 1889.
Joining the hotel’s long-established exclusive spirits range, bottles of The Savoy Collection: 48-year old Macallan are available from the American Bar at The Savoy priced at £18,500.
