Frizzenti to open string of wine bars
Prosecco brand Frizzenti are set to open a chain of sparkling wine bars across the UK targeting shopping, leisure and “travel interchange locations”.
While no locations have been revealed, Frizennti have said the a number of “modular” bars will appear in a range of “high-profile locations” across the country, serving sparkling wines and Prosecco by the glass, on tap, and cocktails.
Up to 10 bars are expected to open in the 12 to 18 months following the project’s launch later this year.
Styled by furniture and interior designer Paul Crofts, of design group Isomi, the bars will feature “elegant Italian styling” combined with an “edgy and modern structure” intended to present a “marked contrast” to traditional Champagne bars.
Daniel Spinath, co-founder of Frizzenti, said: “We are excited to work with Isomi and Paul Crofts on this modular wine bar.
“It’s a real piece of art, and another great way to feature our wines by the glass on tap, whenever and wherever, further cementing our reputation for innovation.”
Their introduction coincides with the continued growth of Prosecco in the UK, where sales continued to surge ahead of Champagne this year with year on year sales up nearly 70% at both Waitrose and Sainsbury’s.
Frizzenti specialise in sparkling wines and Prosecco imported from Italy in kegs allowing their wines to be served on tap by the glass.
