Oxford Wine Festival line-up announced
The Oxford Wine Festival has announced its exhibitor and tutored tasting line-up after selling out of exhibitor stalls in just 12 weeks.
More than 35 exhibitors, including Berry Brothers & Rudd, Burgundy specialists Flint Wines and boutique exhibitors such as The Georgian Wine Society and Red Squirrel Wines, will be in attendance at the event which will take place on 23 and 24 August.
Chris Bowling, one of the organisers of the event, said: “We wanted to put together an ambitious program, and we think our exhibitors give a really good overview of all the regions that are producing exciting wines at the moment.
“We’re also pleased that many of the wines we have on show are from small, boutique producers, and are a little bit different from what you might find on the High Street.”
The festival will take place in the historic setting of the Oxford Union buildings and will be divided into different zones including old world, new world, emerging regions and English wines.
Tutored tastings will also take place across the weekend with sessions on blind tasting and Grand Cru Champagnes, as well as masterclasses on Italian and Australian wines led by MWs Michael Palij and Justin Knock.
