Ruinart toast 250th Rosé anniversary

The House of Ruinart has collaborated with Brown’s Hotel in Mayfair to create the Brown’s Ruinart Rosé 250th Anniversary afternoon tea.

The tea has been arranged as part of a series of events to mark 250 years since the first ever Rosé Champagne, being crafted to highlight the aromas and flavours associated with the Ruinart Rosé.

A selection of traditional finger sandwiches will be followed by freshly baked scones with homemade strawberry jam and clotted cream.

A selection of pastries incorporating the sweet red fruits found in the Ruinart Rosé, including a traditional Victoria sponge and a strawberry tart, then follow, with a giant Ruinart Rosé macaroon for two to finish.

The tea will be accompanied by a half bottle of the Ruinart Rosé.

The afternoon tea has been introduced in commemoration of the 250th anniversary of Ruinart Rosé, believed to be the first rosé made back in 1764.

The Brown’s Ruinart Rosé 250th Anniversary afternoon tea will be available at Brown’s Hotel, Mayfair, from the start of July at a price of £110 for two people.
