Mexican fans cheer for free beer

Mexican football fans had extra cause for celebration on Friday, when they found a ‘free’ beer stand.

Mexico fans at the FIFA World Cup in Brazil found a way to boost their celebrations following their team’s 1-0 win over Cameroon in Natal. Supporters at the stadium discovered an unattended beer stand, and decided that it was too good an opportunity to let slip by.

It’s unlikely that this was a promotional stunt by FIFA beer sponsor Budweiser – more a case of fans being caught red- (and gold-) handed.
