Bacardi appoints interim CEO

Bacardi’s board of directors has today announced the appointment of Michael J. Dolan as its interim chief executive officer (CEO).

Mr. Dolan, who has been a member of the board of Bacardi since 2009, most recently served as chairman and CEO of IMG Worldwide, a global leader in sports, fashion and media.

Previously, Mr. Dolan was executive vice president and chief financial officer of Viacom, Inc. and prior to that was chairman and CEO of Young & Rubicam (Y&R), the global marketing services company.

“We are fortunate to have Mike take on CEO duties as he has an exceptional global business track record, understands powerful brands and knows our Company very well as a result of his service on our Board,” said Facundo L. Bacardi, Chairman.

Mr. Dolan’s principal office will be at the Company headquarters in Hamilton, Bermuda, subject to Bermuda Department of Immigration approvals.
