Riesling focus for second Alsace trade fair
The second Millésimes Alsace trade fair will take place in France this June with a focus on Riesling, but also Pinot Gris, Gewurztraminer and Crémant d’Alsace wines.
More than 650 people attended the inaugural 2012 fair which saw drinks industry professionals and wine lovers alike gather to taste the wines of Alsace and explore its terroirs, culture and philosophy.
This year, around 90 of the region’s best-known Alsace producers will be on hand to offer their wines for tasting with guests also able to take a masterclass hosted by the Meilleurs Sommeliers du Monde and an ‘older vintages’ themed workshop.
Organised by Colmar Expo and the Conseil Interprofessionnel des Vins d’Alsace (CIVA), the bi-annual fair targets mainly importers, restaurateurs, sommeliers, distributors and specialist retailers, as well as the international press and wine lovers.
The all-day event will take place on 16 June at the Colmar Exhibition Park in Colmar, France, from 10 to 6pm.
