Riedel becomes official glassware for IMW
Riedel Crystal has become the official glassware supplier to the Institute of Masters of Wine in a tie-up announced yesterday.
As part of the new agreement, Riedel will provide glasses worldwide for MW tastings, course days, masterclasses, and other events, such as the Institute’s 8th International Symposium, which is being held in Florence from 15-18 May 2014.
“After many years of working closely with IMW, we are delighted to be formalising our relationship and to be officially recognised as their first glassware provider,” said Maximilian J. Riedel, 11th generation CEO of Riedel Crystal.
“This means we can more pro-actively support the IMW’s efforts in promoting wine education and appreciation worldwide, and further acknowledges Riedel’s unparalleled leadership in grape-specific glassware design,” he added.
Penny Richards, executive director of the Institute of Masters of Wine, also commented on the new tie-up and said, “We are very pleased to welcome Riedel officially to our global family of Supporters, and look forward to a productive partnership.”
