Incredible video reveals secret life of beer
A Californian brewery has released this incredible video showing thousands of gallons of beer “coming alive” to the sound of Edvard Grieg.
Using a time-lapse video the Sierra Nevada Brewing Company captured the process of fermenting a staggering 12,400 gallons of wort, 1,216 pounds of whole-cone hops and 1,000 pounds of pure brewers yeast to produce their Bigfoot Barleywine style ale over six days.
The Sierra Nevada Brewing Company have been brewing beer for 33 years and are one of the biggest producers in the US.
The brewery’s Bigfoot Barleywine style ale is one of its most popular featuring a “bittersweet malt” and whole-cone Pacific Northwest hops.
Introduced in 1983, Bigfoot is regarded as a collectable beer suitable for cellaring with each release vintage dated.
