Les Grands Chais de France expands Bordeaux team
French wine and spirits producer Les Grands Chais de France (GCF) has announced the appointment of Emma Holland as its new UK and Ireland export manager for its Bordeaux subsidiary Crus et Domaines de France.
Holland will work with GCF’s winemaking team to develop the company’s portfolio. She will also focus on driving sales of Bordeaux wine in all sectors of the trade and so will work with the UK sales team on selling the company’s range of Chateaux and brands.
GCF’s UK Director, Tim North, said: “We are delighted to welcome Emma to our team. She brings with her an in-depth knowledge of Bordeaux and a wealth of international and commercial expertise.”
Holland has worked in various vineyards around the world and was previously the winemaker at UK supermarket, Sainsbury’s, where she developed and blended wines for their own brand range, and ensured quality control.
Based in Petersbach in Alsace the GCF Group, which was founded by Joseph Helfrich in 1979, had a turnover of €841 million in 2012 and employs more than 1,800 people.
I have found it impossible to access GCF’s websites.
Could you list all the brands and chateaux they represent in France, including those in the Loire?
