Sharp’s Red Ale returns to pubs

Sharp’s Brewery has announced that it is bringing its Red Ale back into pubs.

The beer was named as last year’s “Supreme Champion Beer of Cornwall” by the Campaign for Real Ale and the brewery said that it has received a lot of demand for the beer to be brought back.

Stuart Howe, head of craft brewing and innovation at Sharp’s, said: “Red Ale has become a firm favourite with Sharp’s customers and it’s a natural choice for our seasonal beer at this time of the year.

“Sharp’s has a great reputation for providing brews for every occasion and, we’re very pleased to be delighting our customers once again by bringing back the ever popular Red Ale.”

The beer is the latest in a series of seasonal brews from Sharp’s for 2013. The 4.1% abv brew is matured over Cornish oak and is described as having a “caramel and biscuit aroma and deep flavour, featuring dry roasted coffee and nutty malts.”
