Yellow Tail celebrates one billion bottles

Casella Wines, the makers of Australia’s Yellow Tail wine, has announced that the company has bottled its one billionth bottle of the brand.

Casella was presented with a commemorative bottle to mark the occasion by Amcor Glass. Amcor has supplied Casella with the bottles for Yellow Tail for over 10 years.

John Casella, managing director of Casella Wines, said: “One billion bottles means that 10 billion glasses of Yellow Tail wine have been enjoyed around the world.

“We’re extremely proud to have provided one billion bottles of Yellow Tail wine to people in more than 50 countries. This result shows there is strong demand for Yellow Tail wine not only in our home country, but also abroad.”

The milestone has been achieved in less than 11 years, after the brand was launched in 2001.

Casella also said that he was looking forward to building on this success over the coming years.

He added: “We’re focused on improving quality, variety and value and continuing to create great beverages that people all over the world can enjoy, on any occasion. We are excited about the future of Yellow Tail and reaching our next milestone.”

Since when did 1 bottle contain 10 glasses of wine? Is this special Aussie maths or has John been knocking back so many he has slid off the calculator. Phenomenal achievement in any event.
