Morrisons appoints new wine team member
Morrisons supermarket has named Katie Mollet as wine sourcing manager as the grocer seeks to increase its commitment to the quality of its wine category.
Mollet will be responsible for ensuring “the quality, value and breadth” of the Morrisons range in both stores and its online offering.
She joins from Waitrose where she was a wine buyer and will report to head of wine operations, Mark Jarman.
She said of her appointment: I’m delighted to be joining Morrisons at such an exciting time in the company’s development. With an increasing online presence and rapidly growing sales in the convenience sector, I know that the wine team has lots of plans to develop and evolve the range.
“I’m looking forward to contributing to those plans and helping to deliver an interesting range of wines which provide both excitement and great value for money for Morrisons customers.”
Jarman added: “Katie has tremendous passion for the product and a wide breadth of experience gained in her previous buying and sourcing roles. I know she will be a great asset to the team and will play a key role in bringing our exciting plans to fruition.”
