Russian Vodka promises no hangovers

A Russian vodka is on sale in the UK that promises to leave drinkers hangover-free.

Clear heads all round? The “hangover-free” Beluga Vodka

According to the Evening Standard, Beluga Noble Russian Vodka’s use of “artesan water” from Siberian springs and a 30-day maturation process prevents consumers from experiencing hangover symptoms the next day.

The makers go as far to claim that Beluga won’t cause a hangover even when sipped neat or taken in shot form.

The vodka, which sells for £36 a bottle, is already doing well in Russia, and recently went on sale in UK department stores Harrods and Selfridges.

It has debuted at the Bulgari Hotel in Knightsbridge, while Mayfair restaurant L’Atelier de Joel Robuchon has devised a special menu to accompany the vodka.

Designed to be enjoyed with caviar, the super-premium, wax-sealed, Beluga Gold Line, which is matured for 90 days, retails for £115 a bottle.

Beluga, which has an 87% share of the vodka market in Russia, is keen to appeal to Russian expatriates in London.

Crafted at a century-old distillery in Mariinsk, Siberia, as part of its UK marketing activity, the brand recently sponsored Royal Ascot.

Beluga is imported into Britain by Mangrove UK.
