Vinoteca to open fourth site in Chiswick
Popular restaurant and wine bar Vinoteca is to add a fourth site to its portfolio in Chiswick, west London, this September.
Founders Brett Woonton, Elena Ares and Charlie Young announced the Devonshire Road opening yesterday.
“After three sites in central London locations, Vinoteca is excited to have been able to secure a modestly sized site in Chiswick,” Young told ChiswickW4.com.
“We feel that our emphasis on carefully sourced, high quality and great value wines alongside our daily-changing seasonal menu will complement Chiswick’s diverse range of bars and restaurants and look forward to being part of the Chiswick scene,” he added.
The 50-cover restaurant is to open in a space formerly occupied by the Oriental Brasserie on Devonshire Road, with the owners aiming for a mid September launch.
Vinoteca currently runs three sites – Vinoteca Farringdon, which opened in September 2005, Vinoteca Marylebone, launched in late 2010, and newest addition Vinoteca Soho, which opened last April.
The concept is inspired in part by the wine bars of Spain and Italy, known as “vinotecas” and “enotecas”, where high quality, characterful wines are paired with simple but imaginative food created from fresh, seasonal ingredients.
