Spanish Wine Fed elects new president
Felix Solis Avantis CEO, Felix Solis Yañez, has handed over the presidency of the Spanish Wine Federation (FEV) and the Spanish Wine Observatory (OEMV) to Grupo Codorníu director Javier Pages.

Felix Solis Yañez has presided over the organisastion since 2010, and ended his tenure at the annual meeting of the FEV on 3 April.
During the event, Pau Roca, general secretary of the FEV, praised Solis´ work for opening discussions the Spanish Health Ministry.
Roca also said, “Mr Solis has contributed to maintain a climate of commercial peace in all senses, nationally and internationally, avoiding commercial wars.
“In Spain, he has maintain good relationship with wine growers and wineries, and trust in wine distributors and organisations,” he added.

Meanwhile, Rafael del Rey, general director of the OEMV, in the meeting of patrons, which took place on the same day in Madrid, thanked Solis for his dedication.
“Mr Solis’ enthusiastic work, his support to the activities in the OEMV and the intense dialogue with Government and other institutions, are an example to be admired,” he stated.
Solis’ replacement Javier Pages will hold both posts for the next three years.
