Cos d’Estournel names Prats’ replacement
Aymeric de Gironde has been named as the new head of Cos d’Estournel.
Currently the international commercial director of AXA Millésimes, de Gironde will take over from outgoing chief, Jean-Guillaume Prats, in February 2013.
He has extensive experience in the trade, including stints in Burgundy, Champagne, Portugal and Hungary.
As well as 10 years with LVMH working for Hennessy and Krug, his job at AXA has seen him work with some of Bordeaux’s top estates, including Pichon Baron and Suduiraut.
Owner Michel Reybier said in a statement: “Serving the beautiful terroir of Cos d’Estournel, he will put into practice our philosophy of excellence in French and foreign markets which he knows pretty well, and will interact with you to promote further the presence of our wines. I wish him great success in his new position for which he has my full support.”
