Oddka brings Electricity and Wasabi to vodka
Wyborowa has launched “taste-bud tickling” variants called Electricity and Wasabi as part of a new range of unusual vodkas under the brand name Oddka.
Further flavours in the new line-up include Apple Pie, Fresh Cut Grass, Salty Caramel Popcorn and Wasabi, each of which will be launched in the US, before hitting other markets in the spring next year.
The vodkas are doubtless designed to tap into a trend for ever more unconventional flavoured vodkas in the US market, from Pinnacle’s Pumpkin Pie to Van Gogh Vodka’s Peanut Butter and Jelly.
Indeed, Wyborowa parent company Pernod Ricard recently introduced a Sauvignon Blanc flavoured spirit under the Absolut brand, called Absolut Tune.

However, with a 14% abv, it’s not technically a vodka, and calls itself a “fusion”.
According to Wyborowa, Oddka will sell in the US for US$15.99 for a 75cl bottle.
It describes the five flavours under the new sub-brand as follows:
Apple Pie: For when you desperately yearn for the sweet taste of apples and cinnamon and can’t get one of grandma’s apple pies.
Electricity: A bolt of lightning in a bottle – but safer; tickling taste buds and sparking curiosity everywhere.
Fresh Cut Grass: Nothing beats this home-mown taste; it’s crisp, citrusy, sweet and refreshing.
Salty Caramel Popcorn: If Oddka were a movie, this flavor would be a caramel comedy with a sea salt subplot and a warm, feel-good ending.
Wasabi: This tribute to the spicy burn of the sharp Asian condiment will satisfy your craving for something fiery.
