Chivas Regal launch new 12 Year Old blend

Chivas Regal has launched a new blended whisky, which will be exclusively available in travel retail.

Chivas Brothers’ Blend is now available in travel retail

The new Chivas Brothers’ Blend, which launched on 1 October is a 12-year-old blend using a carefully selected range of malt whiskies including high proportions of Strathisla and Longmorn.

Chivas Regal claims this new blend creates an extra smooth taste and a whisky with a “rich” amber colour.

James Slack, the global brand director with Chivas Regal, said: “We are delighted to launch The Chivas Brothers’ Blend exclusively in travel retail and offer a new Chivas Regal product which focuses on our heritage of craftsmanship blended with a modern twist.”

The Chivas Brothers’ Blend is the first product launch for the brand in five years since the Chivas Regal 25 Year Old was relaunched in 2007. The company currently sells 4.9m cases of whisky in over 150 countries around the world.

Chivas Regal is launching the new blend as the “ultimate whisky to share” and has created a striking bottle and carton design using the family crest and the colour purple.

James Slack added: “The result is an ultra-smooth whisky for today’s travellers who are looking not only for brand innovation but also an experience. The Chivas Brothers’ Blend is the ultimate whisky to share.”

Promise not to laugh! I purchased a bottle of the Chivas Regal in Vancouver Airport but have failed dismally to open the bottle. The top unscrews OK but am then faced with a plastic insert in the bottle neck. Please, please how do I obtain access to the amber nectar?
