NightTag by Olmeca launched

Olmeca has launched NightTag by Olmeca, a free, smartphone social music app enabling electronic music fans to share their nights out.

 

The app, which is designed to be fully compatible with Facebook’s timeline, was launched at singer-songwriter Pitbull’s Istanbul gig and supports the brand’s ongoing partnership with electronic music.

NightTag by Olmeca allows users to take a photo, while its music-recognition software identifies the song playing and the device pinpoints the location and time. NightTag then posts all these elements onto the user’s Facebook timelinet.

The app’s Listings page highlights the top dance nights in selected countries and a Streaming page helps users discover and share new music through Facebook.

The app, which was developed by creative agency Amsterdam Worldwide, also hosts DJ Ferry Corsten’s weekly “Corsten Countdown” podcast, as part of Olmeca’s on-going partnership with the artist.
