Armit unfurls new image
Armit has unveiled a new company logo, aiming to refresh the wine merchant’s “contemporary and professional” image.
The next few weeks will see all Armit’s communications updated with the new logo, while a fully upgraded website is due to follow later in the year.
Established 24 years ago by John Armit, the company has since compiled a number of exclusive big name UK agencies, including Gaja, Tenuta dell’Ornellaia and Domaine Leflaive.
Having traded in Hong Kong since 1982, the company opened an office there in 2007, shortly before Netherlands’ Baarsma Wine Group bought a 75% stake in Armit’s business, which is now led by managing director Mike Laing.
In an interview with the drinks business last year, Laing indicated that the Far East would provide an ever greater focus for the company, observing: “for the rest of my working life I’ll be very surprised if the growth in the west catches up with that in the east”.
