Kingsland unveils £1m facelift
Independent UK supplier Kingsland Wines & Spirits has completed an initial one million pound overhaul of its cellar facilities.
The 18 acre site in Irlam, Manchester, now features 42 new stainless steel tanks and a new off-loading facility with further improvements planned for 2013 as the company seeks to position itself as one of the UK’s leading bottling facilities
Mark Dixon, manufacturing director for Kingsland explained: “It’s a hugely important investment for Kingsland as the new cellar gives us improved operational efficiency, as well as offering customers greater flexibility.”
As a result of this programme of improvements, the largest investment since the firm’s management buyout in 2004, Kingsland is promising its clients “best practice for wine storage”, as well as increased capacity and flexibility alongside a reduction in its waste and energy usage.
Services offered by the company include contract packing, imports, bottling, storage and distribution.
