China to exhibit at LIWF for first time
China is to take a stand at this year’s Distil for the first time.
Six producers from Sinchuan province will be exhibiting on a pavilion hosted by the Sichuan World Trade Centre.
The focus is on premium Chinese spirits, most of which have never been exported to the UK.
Those exhibiting are hoping to find listings in the higher end of the on and off-trades.
The contingent will also be joined by officials, many of whom are buyers in their own right and will be there in a buying capacity.
Exhibition director, James Murray, commented: “China’s presence really underpins the message of ‘Discovery’ at this year’s shows.
“They are joined in Distil by a new group from Hungary, showcasing the nation’s favourite spirit, Pálinka and we are delighted have such interesting and diverse products on show.”
