Marlborough wine producer, Yealands Estate, is to join the Enotria portfolio.
Yealands Estate is one of a handful of wineries around the world to be certified as carbon neutral, as it produces its range of Estate wines from its sustainable winery in the Awatere Valley, Marlborough.
The winery was runner up for the Sustainability Award at the Drinks Business Green Awards 2012. It is also an approved supplier to the UK’s Sustainable Restaurant Association.
Enotria are seen as major players in the UK wine market and their buyer for New Zealand, Daniel Hart, said: “We welcome Yealands Estate to our already strong New Zealand line up.
They complement our established premium, regionally representative portfolio, re-enforcing our credentials as a supplier of high quality wine from every part of the world.
“Crucially it also adds carbon neutral to the successful ‘sustainable’ element in our portfolio alongside organic, biodynamic and Fairtrade. The innovations in sustainability that Yealands Estate has brought about are an example to the whole wine world. These are great wines with a great story behind them. “
The range of Yealands Estate wines offered by Enotria includes; Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris, Riesling, Gewürztraminer, Viognier, and Pinot Noir.
The Pinot Noir Rosé, the Reserve Pinot Noir and Sauvignon Blanc will be new additions to the range in the UK.
