Cattier launches manga design
Champagne Cattier has created a limited series for the Japanese market, depicting manga cartoon scenes on its bottles.
The designs inspired by this popular printed comic strip and graphic animation style appear on the house’s Cattier Brut Antique Premier Cru.
Based a series called Evangelion, which has been broadcast in Japan since 1995, the three separate bottle scenes are taken from its futuristic story of “evangelions”, or giant computer-generated anthropoids, defending the world against invading angels.
For the moment, the bottles are only available in Japan, where they have an RRP of ¥30,000, approximately £250.
Champagne Cattier is better known for the equally distinctive gold and pewter bottles of its Armand de Brignac flagship.
