WSTA launches diary app

The Wine and Spirit Trade Association has made its trade diary available as a free smartphone app.

Users can view all the main wine and spirit trade events taking place in the UK, from tastings to seminars, examinations and award ceremonies, with the option to see these laid out on a map to show locations.

Events can then be synchronised with the user’s own smartphone calendar or they can add their own events to the diary.

Currently available only on iPhone, an Android version will be available shortly.

WSTA chief executive Jeremy Beadles said: “I know that many in the trade value our diary as a first stop for information about upcoming tastings and events so hopefully this new app will make life that little bit easier.

“The free app means you can load, save and synchronise diary events on the go – it’s an early Christmas present from the WSTA.”

  1. Sarah Abbott says:

Many thanks to the WSTA for this useful tool. I do wish, however, that only trade events were included in the diary – the high number of consumer-targeted courses is unnecessarily distracting, and makes it harder to pick out the trade events that are of interest.
