Bristol claims largest UK restaurant
Za Za Bazaar has opened in Bristol with the claim to be the UK’s largest restaurant.
With 1,000 covers spread over 30,000 square feet, the £3 million project trumps the former holder of this title, the 800-cover Cosmo, which opened in Croydon last year.
Combining some of the world’s most famous cuisines under one roof, the Za Za Bazaar’s broad concept reaches from Europe to South America, Japan, China and India, all contained within an Oriental-style market environment.
Located in Bristol’s busy Harbourside, the giant restaurant is pitching this opening as the first branch of what will become a UK-wide brand.
Executive chef Nitin Bhatnagar remarked: “What is important to us is not the size of the restaurant, but the quality, freshness and variety of the food that we will be serving.
“It is the personality, skill and individualism of our master chefs that will make Za Za Bazaar famous – as well as the scale and variety of this operation.”
