Liberty upgrades to new site
Liberty Wines is developing a new London site which will double the company’s storage space.
The company has bought a brown field site near Clapham High Street in south London and plans to start building this month, with completion set for summer next year.
The new purpose-built premises will cover an area 2,800 square metres in size and comprise a temperature-controlled warehouse, new offices and rooms dedicated to tasting and events.
Liberty’s managing director, David Gleave MW, said: “Liberty is having its best year ever, with half year results well ahead of both last year and this year’s budget.
“We remain optimistic about the company’s prospects for expansion for the future, which has led to our decision to undertake such a long-term investment.
“The new site will enable us to improve not only the service we offer our customers but also the storage for our wines and the working environment for our employees.”
