J&B celebrates royal connection
Justerini & Brooks has released its own Champagne to celebrate 250 years of holding the Royal Warrant.
The 250th Anniversary Cuvée is a blanc de noirs produced from Pinot Noir from the Bar region and has been aged for three years on its lees.
The Champagne is available online and costs £19.28.
J&B was founded in 1749 and was first awarded a Royal Warrant by King George III in 1760 and every successive monarch has awarded the merchant with it.
The Royal Warrant is issued to companies which supply goods or services to royal courts or figures. Government departments, the media, pubs and theatres, party planners and employment agencies do not qualify.
Warrants can only be issued by the Queen, the Duke of Edinburgh and the Prince of Wales and companies have to have dealt with the Royal Family for at least five years before a warrant is granted.
