db launches new fine wine report
We’ve hijacked the back of the June’s edition of the drinks business – traditionally the Fine Wine section – to bring you a new in-depth report on the world’s leading labels, called En-Primeur.
In-keeping with our focus on France in this month’s magazine and especially Vinexpo, the first edition of this new “magazine within a magazine” centres on the wines of Bordeaux.
Among the articles and news stories, we consider 2010 and whether there is sense in investing in another youthful and expensive vintage, while we look back to ‘61 Bordeaux in its 50th anniversary year and consider whether prices for this celebrated vintage have peaked.
Elsewhere we analyse the results of the annual Liv-ex en primeur survey, which covers the views of its high-profile trade members, and look closely at a revised compilation of the 1855 Classification – based on prices today.
The special section also considers in-depth the trends within the Margaux appellation in terms of style, vintage variation and, of course, price movement.
Along with these analytical articles, we look in detail at the results of the major auction houses over the last 12 months, bring you the latest developments in bonded warehousing and take a look at the rise and fall – as well as future – of the garagistes.
