Last orders at The Balvenie Whisky Den
The Balvenie’s first “Whisky Den”, an interactive bar installation in Central London, has just a week left to run.
Set up on Tavistock Street in Covent Garden, The Whisky Den has been created to allow visitors to discover the traditional processes involved in producing the single malt.
Designed as the interior of a giant whisky tun, guests move from room to room, encountering indoor fields of barley and the chance to try rare single cask bottlings or deconstructions of selected whiskies.
Dr Andrew Forrester, The Balvenie’s UK ambassador, explained: “The exciting thing about The Whisky Den is that it is designed to evolve with the influences of those who visit it – so you can drop by one day and experience something totally different a few days later, or another week down the line. It’s a totally interactive space and a great place to explore Scotch whisky.”
The Whisky Den is open daily from 1pm until 8pm, with a series of tutored whisky tastings taking place every Saturday. Entry is free.
