Krombacher joins the dark side
German brand Krombacher, the biggest-selling beer in its homeland, has announced that it is to offer British pubs a dark version of its lager – Krombacher Dark.
Dark lagers are one of the fastest growing sectors in the beer market, albeit still recording modest volumes, according to Julian Penny, Krombacher’s UK representative.
“With the increasing interest in dark beers we think that this is a natural progression for the Krombacher range to introduce an authentic, dark, German beer that is packed full of flavour at a very drinkable 4.2% abv," he said.
