Taste of London presents super chef menu
Five of the UK’s top chefs will work together on a special menu for this year’s Taste of London. Michel Roux Jr, Gary Rhodes, Pierre Koffmann, Chris Galvin and Silvena Rowe will each contribute a dish for The Menu by Taste of London.
The £395 +VAT ticket will allow 400 people to enjoy the menu across four sittings in the festival’s new Secret Garden. Each chef will introduce their dish in person, while a sommelier will be on hand to match each dish with wine supplied by Corney & Barrow.
The project has been coordinated by Tim Hughes, chef director of restaurant group Caprice Holdings, who contacted the participants back in January. Explaining his choice of chefs, Hughes said: “I wanted to work with five talented people who could bring individual strengths to the table.
“You put together chef heavyweights like Galvin, Rowe, Koffmann, Roux Jr and Rhodes and you’re bound to come up with something exciting, innovative and, above all, delicious.”
The final menu runs as follows:
∞
Tomato Essence Consommé
By Chris Galvin
∞
English Asparagus, Black Truffle Hollandaise
and Black Truffle Za’atar
By Silvena Rowe
∞
Scallops and Squid Ink
By Pierre Koffmann
∞
Braised Beef Cheek Provençale
Polenta and Olives
By Michel Roux Jr
∞
Lemon Chiboust with Raspberries
By Gary Rhodes
