Journey’s End arrives at Tanners
Regional wine retailer Tanners Wine Merchants has secured a listing for boutique South African winery Journey’s End.
All five Tanners branches will list wines from the Stellenbosch-based brand, known for its hand-crafted, single-varietal wines from the Helderburg basin.
The Tanners Journey’s End offering includes Haystack Chardonnay 2010 (£9.95), Pastors Blend 2008 (£9.95), Shiraz 2006 (£12.95), Cabernet Sauvignon 2006 (£12.95) and Cape Doctor Shiraz 2005 (£14.95).
“We are delighted that Tanners has chosen to stock our wines. It has one of the most comprehensive lists of any independent wine retailer in the country,” said Journey’s End owner Rollo Gabb.
“Coming from Shropshire, our family have enjoyed buying wines through Tanners for many generations and it’s very exciting to now be part of its range.”
“Journey’s End typifies what the best terroir of South Africa is capable of producing when time and care is taken in the vineyard and winery,” said Tanners buyer Stephen Crosland.
The wines are elegant, complex and full of clean, rich flavours. We’re looking forward to introducing our customers to these great wines,” Crosland added.
