JD Set rocks the UK
Jack Daniel’s has unveiled the line-up for its 2011 music campaign, “The JD Set”.
Kicking off last week with a gig in London, the programme now moves on to Glasgow and Manchester, supported by a UK-wide multimedia campaign and new website.
Set in intimate venues, the gigs are designed to give music fans the chance to get close to a mix of big names and new talent.
The Glasgow event, which takes place on 20 April at O2 ABC, will see Sharlene Spiteri head a line-up playing homage to David Bowie, to include Kate Nash, Ian McCulloch and Ramona.
The Manchester set on 12 May at Band on the Wall will see the likes of Mani, The Enemy’s Tom Clarke and Kid British rework tracks by The Smiths.
Before each of the JD Set gigs, artists will take part in live studio rehearsal session, which together with the main event will be available to view online at www.thejdset.co.uk
A spokesman from Jack Daniel’s said: “Jack Daniel’s has a history of supporting music since the day Mr Jack formed The Silver Cornet Band in 1892 to entertain the Lynchburg community.
“The JD Set embodies the modern day spirit of Mr. Jack’s band, bringing people together and sharing great music.”
