Martin brothers announce two City openings

The ETM Group has revealed plans to open two new venues this year in partnership with Montcalm London Hotels.

Both located in the City of London, the first venue is due to launch in early May on the site of what was previously the St Paul’s Tavern on Chiswell St.

Following a complete rebuild, the building will host a 20 bedroom hotel, bar and 100-cover “modern British” restaurant with private dining room.

The second venue, located on the same street, is scheduled to open in late summer as a British pub. The former King’s Head will feature an open kitchen, charcoal grill and three large rotisseries.

Both venues form part of the Whitbread Brewery building, which is in the process of being transformed into a new 230 bedroom five star Montcalm hotel.

The ETM Group was set up in 2000 by Tom and Ed Martin, who already operate a number of sites including The Gun in Docklands, The Botanist on Sloane Square and The Well in Clerkenwell.

Commenting on the new ventures, Tom Martin said: “The openings of both venues, and the contract to run the food and beverage operations for the luxury Montcalm hotel, provides an excellent opportunity for ETM Group and represents our focus on launching in key central London, Canary Wharf and City areas”.
